Google alerts Empty Google alerts

So i've recently been using google alerts for companies i'm invested in.

It is a pretty simple tool. just type in your search terms and how frequently you want to be updated.

Anytime there is news pertaining to your company, you get an email letting you know what that news is.

I've been using it for about two weeks now and it is pretty cool. sometimes the news comes in a little after the fact but i still think it is useful.

I use google as well, and I agree sometimes it doesn't show the news right away, and if you have a lot of stocks in your google portfolio I also find it tends to not show all the news. However if you look at the individual stocks, the news usually shows up fairly quickly. It is also nice because you get news that isn't specifically from the company, as you would normally get from your bank.

I generally use a combination of sources to find any new news releases which include google, my bank and forums.

Should look into RSS feeds. Essentially does the same thing as google alerts, but you can subscribe to a bunch of websites. If you download a program (I haven't tried any of them yet), you can also filter and sort the results in a more manageable way. Also, you can have them sent to your inbox.
