Commission
Hey guys,
I was just wondering when your brokerage charges you commission?
Is it at the time of buying, selling or monthly etc....
When I did my first trade today I was expecting to pay $19.99 but once the trade was complete it did not charge me.
Just wondering.

Re: Commission
It's usually included as part of your final order. Sometimes they allow you to have a negative ballance in your account (hopefully without charge).
Also, what you see on the bank website is usually delayed... by a day. You'll see the updated ballance afte one (usually buisness) day.

Re: Commission
What about partial fill orders?
will they charge you one commission for a partial fill and the remainder later or will you get charged twice?

Re: Commission
It depends if your order is filled in one day or more. If the order is filled in one day, then you only pay one comission charge. Otherwise you pay the comission fee for every day that your order is open (providing you get a part fill on each day).
