The Library Empty The Library

Of all the talk of reducing costs and saving money, here I am buying financial books on Amazon and then throwing them out when they turn out to be crap.

The other day, my girlfriend suggests we go to the library. LIBRARY?! What a brilliant idea. Why didn't I think of that. Free books as far as the eye can see with all kinds of lessons to learn.

So I get a couple of books: "How the stock market works" (to learn how the stock market works), and "Canadian Banking and Financial System" (to learn about the Canadian banking and financial system). [I like my books to have creative titles as you can see].

"How the stock market works" so far has been an excellent introductory book that really helped explain the actual mechanics of trades on the stock exchange floor. Pretty dry reading for non-nerds, but interesting stuff for me. Also getting work to pay for a course of treasury, so that should nicely round out my understanding of the financial system.

Don't know if it will help my trading, but it is still nice to understand how things work.
