So as you all know, i got my little trading account up and running.

While exploring the website I was looking at the different trading platforms they provide and clicked on a few.

One of these trading platforms had a disclamer you had to click through to access it.

Like most people (I think) when installing programs, I just scrolled to the bottom of the disclamer and then clicked OK.

I looked at my account today and noticed it was $114 less than it was yesterday.

A quick call to Scotia revealed that in fact the disclamer I so hastily clicked through had a part in it where i agreed to paying $100 a month to access this software.

I told the customer service guy what I had did, and he generously re-embursed me $50.

So the lesson here is:

Always read the fine print, sometimes it IS important!

Bastards... Good that you at least got $50 back. Are you going to move to a different type of account?

It wasn't the account type that got me. it was some piece of software I voluntarily downloaded and installed... it isn't necessary to perform any trades.

I will definately not be so "clicky" in the future!
